Co-founder D&P Travels, others win Sun International Award

ONE the topnotch travel company in Nigeria, Dimond and Pearls Travels has added another feather to its cap as one of its Co-founders, Mrs Wonuola Lamidi was honoured by Sun International with the Top Achiever award.

The award which was recently presented to Mrs Lamidi and others onboard a special boat cruise came as the first this year for the D&PT, a sign of better things to come as well as recog nition for hard work and reward for patronage to Sun International.

In his remarks the Market Manager, West Africa & Indian Ocean, Sun International, Didier Bayeye said the second edition of the annual Sun International awards is to continuously appreciate the outstanding effort and doggedness of the Nigeria travel trade who have prioritise the selling of Sun International properties to Nigerian travellers.

“Our Nigerian travel trade partners are outstanding supporters of brand Sun International who despite the many competition in the South African hospitality industry show wholesome commitment to our brand,”

Bayeye explained that from the Maslow in Johannesburg, Table Bay in Cape Town, Time Square in Pretoria to Sun City and indeed all other Sun International properties across South Africa received a quality number of Nigerian visitors in 2018, which is credited to our Nigeria trade partners.”

In her acceptance remark, Co-founder Diamond and Pearls Travels, Wonuola Lamidi thanked Sun International for the recognition and encouragement, promising to continue to sell the brand properties of Sun International to their old and new customers who were excited at the hospitality treats given to them at all destinations the brand properties were located.

Attendance at the event include, South African Airways Regional Manager, North, West and Central Africa, Ohis Ehimiaghe Thekiso Rakolojane, the new South African Tourism Regional Manager, West Africa and other trade partners.

Apart from Diamonds and Pearls Travels which was honoured, other awardees are, Afro Tourism and Njetours which clinched to the Top Achiever award while 1860travels and Apeiron Global won the Loyalty Award.
