Apostle Korede Awolesi
The Church of the Lord Revival Ministries (CLOREM) is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary in grand style.
The celebration is set to hold between September 24 and October 1, 2023. The theme of the anniversary celebration is “Who is this?”
Information available to newsmen indicated that the celebration will be heralded with a public rally across Sagamu metropolis on Sunday, September 24th.
The rally will be followed by morning, afternoon and evening session programmes throughout the week leading to Sunday, October 1st when the grand finale will take place at the church auditorium.
Ministers billed to speak during the week-long event include General Overseer of the church, Apostle Korede Awolesi; Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogun State chapter, Apostle David Otaru; his Oyo State counterpart, Rev. Samson Ajetomobi; Rev Bamidele Ayanlowo, Pastor Samuel Adekoya, Apostle Abiodun Ademuyiwa, Rev. Samuel Ajala, Rev Emmanuel Ahove and Richard Tijani.
Speaking on the rationale behind the establishment of the church, Awolesi said he received the revelation to start the church thrice –in the year 1996, 2000 and 2002.
“I was in the territory of Ghana in 2002, coming from a mission when I had the burden heavily on me.
“We were coming from Guinea and travelling towards Accra early in the morning when I felt it. I knew that what he spoke to me about in 1996 was about to manifest,” he explained.
He further said the reasons for the establishment of the church has been manifested in the lives of people and families the church has provided for and helped to get closer to God in the last 20 years.
“The first purpose of the ministry is to serve God, to evangelise and bring people to know God and serve him. The second leg is to provide necessary support to people in need so that they can have reasons to glorify God,” he added.
