Cleric to Nigerians: Let’s unite to end economic crisis

Prophet (Dr) Julius Kumoluyi, the General Overseer of The Word Bible Church Worldwide, has urged Nigerians to unite and collaborate with the government to overcome the current economic challenges and other issues facing the country.

Speaking in Igbara-odo Ekiti, Ekiti State, during the annual anointing service of the Ekiti/Ondo zone of the church, Prophet Kumoluyi emphasized the importance of unity and love among Nigerians in addressing the nation’s challenges.

He noted that while leadership plays a significant role, followership and the collective effort of citizens are equally essential.

Reflecting on the economic situation, Prophet Kumoluyi acknowledged the rise in commodity prices despite the recent appreciation of the Naira against the US dollar.

He attributed this phenomenon to the lack of love among citizens, emphasizing that blaming the government alone for all challenges is not productive.

The cleric urged Nigerians to support the government’s efforts and work together for the common good. He expressed confidence that with unity and prayers, the nation would overcome its present difficulties, and prosperity would return to the people.

Regarding the government’s actions, Prophet Kumoluyi acknowledged the ongoing efforts to address the economic hardships.

He assured that the government was working diligently, albeit discreetly, to implement solutions that would bring positive results and relief to Nigerians.

Reflecting on the annual anointing service, which has been ongoing since 1989, Prophet Kumoluyi highlighted its transformative impact on the lives of participants.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State for his administration’s achievements, particularly in road reconstruction and rehabilitation.

Furthermore, Prophet Kumoluyi addressed the issue of discord among religious leaders, attributing it to the signs of the end times as prophesied in the Bible. He emphasized the importance of adhering to God’s word and refraining from divisive actions.

In response, Hon. Mrs Bukola Olowolaju, Executive Chairman of Igbara-odo/Ogotun Ekiti Local Council Development Area, praised Prophet Kumoluyi for his dedication to the community’s well-being through the annual anointing service. She highlighted the positive impact of the service on residents’ lives.
