The Nigerian government has been called upon to increase financial and other support for small and medium-scale business owners in the country.
Prophet Sam Olu Alo, the planter of CAC Adamimogo, Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain World-wide, made the call, stating that providing more resources to small and medium-scale owners will enhance and boost the country’s economy.
He also advised the citizens and the government to return to agriculture, emphasizing that no approved amount as a new minimum wage for workers would ever be sufficient for them.
During the “Sure Mercy of David” program held at Jesus City, Lekki, Lagos, about 1500 people were trained in various skills and vocations and empowered with several million naira.
Some of the skills learned included security doors installation with equipment, catering, snack making, crafts, cloth dyeing, adire, and weaving, among others.
Olu Alo gifted a wheelchair to a physically challenged person and provided N500,000 to start a business for the individual’s wife. He also offered to sponsor the return of four people to Europe.
In his address, Olu Alo stressed the importance of empowering small and medium-scale business owners to boost Nigeria’s economy. He highlighted the significance of supporting local producers and reducing dependence on imported goods.
He also emphasized the need for government support and investment in storage facilities for farm produce, as well as the potential for exporting Nigerian-made goods to other countries.
Olu Alo further discussed the inadequacy of the 70,000 new minimum wage for Nigerian workers and emphasized the importance of returning to agriculture for self-reliance, urging the government and state governments to support local farmers and producers.
