The Bishop of Ohaji/Egbema Anglican Diocese, Rt. Revd Chidi Collins Oparaojiaku, has demanded immediate prayers in all churches of the Diocese for the release of the former chief judge (CJ) of Abia State, Justice Nnenna Oti.
The prelate in a statement issued on Sunday called on churches, to as a matter of urgency, remember the kidnapped retired CJ, who is the chancellor of the church in their prayers.
Justice Oti who was a former Chief Judge of Abia State and currently the Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Ohaji/Egbema in Imo State was abducted on Saturday at Orlu in Imo State on her way to Anambra State.
The Bishop said that her captors had made contact while calling for fervent prayers for safekeeping without molestation and violence.
Oparaojiaku while praying God to touch the heart of her kidnappers to release her, expressed hope that God would see her through in the hands of her captors.
As at the time of filing the report, effort was made to contact the Imo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Michael Abatham, who promised to investigate.
Nigerian Tribune equally placed several calls on the mobile phone of the Police Commissioner of Imo State, CP Hussaiani Rabiu, but he neither picked the calls nor replied to the text message sent to him.
