A cleric, Prophet Ade Ologbonyo, has urged Christians at large to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in prayers to tackle the ‘twin evils’ of banditry and kidnappings in the country.
Ologbonyo, who is the founder of the Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C), Mercy Land, Orun-Ekiti in Ose/Orun Local Government area of Ekiti State, gave the admonition during the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the church and foundation laying of the 5000-seater ultramodern church auditorium.
The foundation laying was performed by the CAC District Coordinating Superintendent, Agege, Lagos State, Pastor Olu Eyebiokin, on behalf of the CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries from all walks of life including gospel singers, Evangelist Bola Aare and Bisi Alawiye .
Ologbonyo said the church, which begun with 20 worshippers in a living room, had grown in leaps and bounds, with branches all over the country.
On insecurity challenge in the country, the cleric said all hands must be on deck in tackling the menace, adding that, “I think we are duty bound to intensify our prayer for Nigeria and our leaders in order to get out of the prevailing challenges. What is happening in Nigeria today remains a source of concern and worry to all.”
