THE Baba Aladura of Holiness Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oke Ajaye International, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Most Reverend Apostle Abel Oyeniran, has asked Nigerians to intensify prayers for the country in order to come out of the hardship affecting the people.
Oyeniran said this at the weekend during an interview with newsmen at the church in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
According to him, praying for the country and its leaders is biblical, and should be imbibed by all.

He said: “The Bible tells us that when we have challenges, we should pray. The Bible didn’t tell us how the challenges will come or the kind of challenges we are going to face.
“The Bible also tells us to respect our rulers because God actually puts them there. We cannot query these things or ask questions if we are true Christians.
“We have to follow what the Bible says. Even in our different homes, we have challenges caused by one thing or the other. We have challenges everywhere. We should not blame the source of the challenge, but we should always look up to Christ. Eventually, we shall overcome.”
The cleric admitted that the security situation in the country is alarming, but observed that the situation could be improved through divine intervention.
He however affirmed that Nigerians would experience good fortunes if the people continued to intensify prayers for the nation.
“In the area of security, I believe the government is doing quite a lot to address the situation. If the security is improved, the economy will improve, people will actually move freely,” he said.
