The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has warned Nigerian pastors to desist from spending church funds, as they do not belong to them.
The cleric issued this warning during his sermon on Wednesday at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.
According to him, funds donated to churches are sacred and should be used solely for the advancement of God’s work, not for the personal needs of pastors.
He urged pastors who habitually use church money for personal purposes to abandon this practice and seek forgiveness from God.
While emphasising the need for pastors to exercise financial discipline, he said, “Since this ministry started, the cheque book of this church has never been in my possession once. Can never be.
“I never believe that church money belongs to the pastor. Any pastor here who is eating the church’s money or taking the church’s money or tithe needs to repent.”
