Christian Pilgrimage is beyond visiting Israel to see the sites —Rev Uja

Published by

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Reverend Uja Tor Uja has said that Christian Pilgrimage is beyond visiting Israel to see the sites.

He disclosed this in Abuja while playing host to the new Chairman of Benue State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Reverend Thomas Shikaan, in his office.

He explained that the pilgrimage option for Nigeria today is beyond going to see where Jesus was born. According to him, “we are poised to influence the world with our learning.” He, therefore, stressed that pilgrimage demands from us an investment that must change the world. In the words of the NCPC Boss, “It is important to see the sites, but more critical to see the world.”

The Executive Secretary stated that it took Africa too long to influence the world even though Africa has been raised by God through Nigeria as the arrowhead to influence the world, therefore Christian Pilgrimage should be used as a tool to influence the world.

Rev. Uja urged the new chairman to prepare for a battle for service as a new entrant into the pilgrimage world; a battle that must build the next generation.

He prayed that the Lord would help him to meet his aspirations and grant him the wisdom to uplift the Benue State Pilgrim Welfare Board beyond where he met it.

Speaking, the new Chairman of Benue State Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, Rev. Shikaan said it was a privilege to be in NCPC and an opportunity given to him to play a part in the development of pilgrimage in Benue State and by extension in the nation.

He assured the NCPC boss that he would want to learn very fast so that he would be able to make tangible impact in the pilgrimage sub sector of the economy.

Rev. Shikaan appreciated Reverend Uja for being instrumental to his appointment.

The new chairman and his Executive Secretary, Mrs. Dorcas Otalu were the visit  together.
