Christian, muslim gospel singers to collaborate for Ijebu Praise Concert

Ijebu will be the place to be on the first Friday in December whenthe creme de la crème in the society converge for the first ever Ijebu Praise Concert, powered by by Honourable Kehinde Odeneye (OK).

The show will have popular christian gospel artistes and their muslim counterparts, to the first of its kind in the country.

Artistes already confirmed for the concert including Lanre Teriba Arise, Timi Oshunkoya Telemi, Ere Asalatu, Ajoke Omolope and Bola Obi among others

Speaking on the event, Honourable Odeneye, member representing Ijebu central Federal Constituency, said the event was not a political or religious gathering but a day of thanksgiving.

“We are supposed to have a day to praise God; that is why we choose that day which is the first day of the last month of the year. It is a day we want to praise God, irrespective of your religion or tribe, which is what we want to use that day for.

“It is not for Ijebu or Ogun State alone, but for the whole federation. I observed we don’t always praise God enough in this country; we want to use that day to praise Him. It is not a political or religious gathering but to give God the glory for his mercies over us. I believe if we praise God well in this country, we will have the fear of God in our heart,” he said

Also speaking , Mr. Pius Omadime, the personal Assistant to Odeneye, stated that the event would be a memorable one. “We are looking at a programme that will hold annually for years to come,” he said.

The event will be pull great crowd Murphy Ajibade Alabi, the head of publicity for the concert, who stated that though the magnitude will mean hard work for the organizers, no stone will be left unturned to ensure that the event is a huge success.
