Chimamanda Adichie’s father dies at 88

Prof James Nwoye Adichie, the father of international writer and renowned author, Chimamanda Adichie is dead.

Adichie, a professor of statistics died yesterday night at Chira Memorial Hospital, Awkuzu Oyi local government of Anambra state at age of 88 years.

According to his son, Okey Adichie, who disclosed the incident to Tribune Online via telephone on Thursday said he is dead and he died at the age of 88 after a brief illness.

“Our father, Professor J. N. Adichie, Odelora Abba, died late yesterday night, June 10, 2020, at Chira Memorial Hospital, Awkuzu,” he said.
