Child rapist to spend twenty-five years in prison for raping a ten-year-old

Published by

JUSTICE Babagana Wakil of a Borno high court has decried the increase in rape cases in Borno as deserving of stiffer punishment even as he sentenced a fifty-year-old man Musa Musa to twenty-five years in jail for raping a ten-year-old girl Hadiza Yusuf.

The gidan Madara Maiduguri High Court was told that the ten-year-old was forced into Musa’s room where he lives at kantudu road Maiduguri where the evil act took place.

Musa who already has a healthy sex life which earned him ten children will spend fourteen years of his remaining life behind bars for the offence which is contrary to section 283 of the penal code of northern Nigeria for defiling the underaged girl.

“I lack words to describe the action of the convict. Rape is now rampant not only in Borno State but the entire country. If drastic action is not pursued, Nigeria would be like India where the act is committed every five minutes

“For this grievous crime, you deserve no piety. I hereby sentence you to twenty-one years imprisonment without fine to serve as a deterrent to others” He said.

Another errant fellow Adamu Jauro of Kwaya Kusar local government area of Borno State equally bagged fourteen years for raping one Hauwa Ayuba after luring her with biscuits into his room.
