Chief Imam of Ibadan advises Islamic title holders

ISLAMIC title holders have been admonished to rededicate their lives to the promotion of Islam and its ideals.
The Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheikh Abdul Ganiy Abubakri Agbotomokekere, gave the advice during the presentation of letter of appointment as the Asiwaju Adinni of Ibadanland to Alhaji Mutiullah Abdul Azeez Oladejo, last weekend.

Sheikh Agbotomokekere enjoined the title holders to see themselves as ambassadors of Islam and therefore serve as models for others in leading righteous lives.

He particularly appealed to Alhaji Oladejo to consider his appointment as a call to intensify his contribution to the growth and development of Islam in Ibadan land and beyond.

In his acceptance speech, the Asiwaju Adinni-designate promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the League of Imams and Alfas in Ibadan.

Oladejo said with the appointment, he had been encouraged to do more for Islam.
