
National President of CEPEJ and Niger Delta-based peace and environmental right advocate, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, made this assertion at the Peace forum in France, Paris, as a participant.
“Meaningful development can be actualised only when there is peace, therefore collective responsibility and effort is needed to achieve this in Nigeria,” he averred.

Comrade Mulade noted that President Buhari deserves commendations as Nigeria has repeatedly taken front stage in championing peace and security across Africa.
He added that CEPEJ will continue to complement government’s effort at all levels to ensure the prevention, management and resolution of conflicts which CEPEJ is known for.
The Human Rights activist reiterated that all Nigerians must support and promote peace, especially as the general elections are drawing closer.
He said that other African countries were looking unto Nigeria as a role model capable of promoting peace, security and stability in Africa.
Mulade challenged President Buhari to ensure that practical peace is entrenched across Nigeria before, during and after the 2019 general elections.
Just as he also called on the Federal Government to ensure that arrangements are made to facilitate timely and efficient responses to conflict and crisis situations.
