Celebrating Ebenezer Obey at 75

Published by

As a musician, Chief Ebenezer Obey has landmark contributions to the development of Nigeria. He is known for using his music to purvey highly philosophical ideas that can turn the country around for good, if implemented.

As a demonstration of his commitment to community development, the icon’s 75th birthday celebration will commence on Thursday, March 23, with the inauguration of the Idogo Police Post in Yewa Local Government Area, which was built by him. According to members of the community, the celebrations will not be complete if they fail to appreciate Obey on his immense contributions to the development of the community.

Also concerning the celebration, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has decided to allow the organizers to use his presidential library in Abeokuta as the venue of the celebrations. It is not surprising that great ministers of God, socialites, politicians and dignitaries from all walks of life will honour the evangelist. I salute this great cultural ambassador and distinguished elder statesman.
