The Conference of Benue Journalists (CBJ) has expressed admiration for the reforms initiated by Governor Hyacinth Alia, describing them as transformative steps towards accountability, transparency, and progress in Benue State.

The implementation of an e-governance system has been particularly impactful, with the governor’s approach addressing deep-rooted challenges that have hindered the state’s development.

CBJ Vice-President, Mr. Ewache Ajefu, noted in a statement on Sunday that the reforms, including initiatives to attract investments and improve agricultural policies, are already producing tangible benefits for the people.

The group also praised the improvements in the civil service, citing merit-based promotions, timely payment of salaries and arrears, and modern administrative practices that have elevated professionalism.

The media group urged stakeholders and citizens to support Governor Alia’s administration in its fight against corruption and efforts to implement e-governance across all government agencies.

CBJ also commended the approval of a N75,000 minimum wage for workers, describing it as a significant step towards alleviating economic hardship and boosting morale.

The group encouraged the governor to remain focused on addressing the state’s challenges and fulfilling promises related to security, human capacity development, and economic growth.

The media organization reaffirmed its support for the administration, acknowledging the positive impact of its policies and urging continued commitment to sustainable development in Benue State.
