Carry Journalists along in your administration, Obi tells Soludo

The General Overseer of Tree of Life Gospel Ministry, Nanka, Anambra State, Dr Dada Obi, has appealed to Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, not to ignore journalists in his administration, as they are an essential part of a democratic society.

Obi, who is also a Patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Anambra State Council, made the appeal when the Executive members of NUJ in the state led by Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu paid him a solidarity visit in his home at Nanka, Orumba North local government area of the state.

While describing Governor Soludo as a renowned economist and intellectual, whose vision is to make Anambra a prosperous homeland, Dr Obi, urged him to give needed attention to journalists in the state, to help project his administration in a limelight.

According to him, information is power, Journalists can build and equally destroy. They should always be carried along in the affairs of governance. They are mouthpieces of society. I have had complaints in some quarters that the present administration of Prof Soludo, has not appointed a Chief Press Secretary (CPS), to enable Journalists in the state to feel a sense of belonging. So, I appealed to the governor to make Journalists his best friends for the better Anambra of his Vision 2070.
