Carrots and the eyes

I want to know if it is true that carrots are good for the eyes.

Though the idea that carrots are good for your eyesight stemmed from a myth, it has been confirmed that carrots contain many beneficial nutrients that may support healthy eyes and many other health benefits. In addition, it has long been believed that eating it promotes eye health and improves your eyesight, especially at night.

Although they’re not quite the magic eye food they were marketed to be, it contain certain compounds that are good for the eyes.
