An imaging solutions company, Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA), has launched the ‘Canon Discovery Week’ for artists and photographers in Lagos.
Speaking at the launching in Lagos, the Sales and Marketing Director – B2C, Canon Central and North Africa, Amine Djouahra explained that the aim of the Canon week is to hone artists’ creative skills and provide an avalanche of opportunities for leverage.
He further explained that the company would use the week to get familiar with the Canon users.
“The aim is to get to know Canon users better by giving them the opportunity to interact with our team, which is more than happy to share best practices and give advice on Canon products.

“Customers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various experiences that will give them the opportunity to develop their creative skills, with the support of the Canon team” Amine said.
While giving the details of the event, he noted that the week would include a nature photo walk led by the local Nigerian Canon photographer, Hakeem Salam; Canon Academy educational workshops hosted by Canon trainers, and opportunities for various meetings and interactions with Canon experts.
He added that the workshops would be an opportunity for participants to interact with professional Canon users as they learn from them.
Djouahra noted that a mobile van would drive to a different location to allow as many people as possible to meet with Canon’s experts throughout the Canon Discovery Week.
He added that locals would have the opportunity to come to the van and get a free A4 portrait photograph of themselves.
The director stated that this would be a unique chance for customers to discuss the essential techniques required to capture beautiful portraits, while choosing how to print their portrait and leave with a copy.
