Can there be another Alao-Akala in Oyo State?

While it is true that it is only God as no one that can be likened to him, we also have people who by virtue of their antecedents and how they have touched lives, can be likened to one in a million.

Late former governor of Oyo State, Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, is one of such people whose impacts have made them unique in the eyes of fellow men.

Can Oyo State have someone like him in the next 100 years? He is a peculiar human; caring, kind-hearted, always wiping tears off the faces of the downtrodden and making them happy. He is a man that uses his resources to cater for people.

He used his good offices to touch the lives of the generality of Oyo State indigenes. He was a detribalised Nigerian, a man of many parts. Those who benefited from his good deeds will not forget the former governor.

Alao-Akala lives forever in our hearts. Aside from his proven excellent performance while in office, he also continued with his good deeds after leaving the office. The elephant has fallen in Nigeria.

The question to be asked is this: Would it be possible to see another politician who will replace Alao-Akala in Oyo State politics? Only Allah can give us another Alao-Akala in Oyo State.
