Often, some individuals struggle with respiratory issues due to what is now identified as unhealthy lifestyle habits, environmental pollution and lot of other factors. Some of these respiratory disorders have been traced to a condition known as dirty lungs.
The lungs play a crucial role in keeping the body healthy and functioning properly. So, it is essential to take care of them and keep them clean. But can people clean their lungs? It is indeed possible to clean lungs through simple method of changing lifestyle and routine.
Below are some ways of cleaning the lungs:
Quit smoking: it is very important to quit the habit of smoking to have clean lungs. Smoking not only damages the lungs but also increases your risk of various respiratory diseases.
Exercise: Exercising is difficult for some people but it plays a vital role in keeping the lungs healthy. When you exercise, your lungs work harder, which improves its capacity and cleans out toxins and dirt.
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water not only keeps your body hydrated but also helps in flushing out toxins from your lungs. So, make sure to sip on some water throughout the day, and your lungs will thank you.
Laugh out loud: Laughing is not only the best medicine for the soul, but it is also great for your lungs. When you laugh, your lungs expand and you take in more oxygen which helps in cleaning out your respiratory system.
Eat vegetables: Green vegetables contain antioxidants and other nutrients that help in detoxifying the lungs. So, add some kale, spinach, and broccoli to your diet and your lungs will be as clean as a whistle.
Practice deep breathing: Just like how we need to clean out our closets and dust every nook and cranny, our lungs also need a deep cleaning. Practicing deep breathing exercises helps in expanding your lung capacity and expelling any toxins or pollutants that might have accumulated. So, take a deep breath in, hold it for a few seconds, and then slowly exhale. Repeat this a few times throughout the day, and your lungs will feel refreshed.
Run from pollution: Try to avoid or limit your exposure to polluted environments. If you live in a highly polluted city, consider wearing a mask when going outside or investing in an air purifier for your home. Your lungs will thank you for it.
