Abubakar, a resident of Kissayip Village in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau, is facing a two-count charge of theft and intimidation.
According to Police Prosecutor Edwin Oche, the victim, Mr Muazu Abubakar of the same address, reported the case at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Bassa, on Nov 8.
Oche said that the accused went to his brother’s house and stole seven out of his 54 cows.
He added that the accused threatened to kill his brother after stealing the cows, in contravention of Section 287 and 397 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Mr Nanlang Dashe, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with a surety in like sum.
Dashe said that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and submit his driver’s licence or permanent voter card to the court.
He adjourned the case until Jan 11, 2019, for mention.
