THE Lagos State University (LASU) has warned students and stakeholders to be wary of illegal activities by some fraudsters on the social media to defraud them through registration of its annual bursary allowance.
The university official bulletin, which made this known on Friday in Lagos, said that the warning came due to information reaching the institution that some fraudsters using its name to carry out illegal activities on some social media platforms.

“Attention of the LASU community has been drawn to some illegal activities being carried out by fraudsters on some social media platforms in the name of the university to defraud unsuspecting students.’’
The university, therefore, advised the LASU community, stakeholders and the general public not to register on the various illegal social media platforms in their interest as they were operated by fraudsters.
It, however, instructed its various public to always confirm its valid official links and website before any online transaction with the institution to prevent falling victims of the fraudsters activities.
