In tech marketing, standing out requires more than expertise. It demands vision, strategy, and a strong personal brand. Few embody this blend of skill and influence as seamlessly as Pamilerin Eniolorunda (Waye Pam), a versatile, award-winning communication and growth specialist whose impact spans multiple industries, from finance and aviation to Edutech, CPaaS, FMCG, and consulting.
With over six years of experience in corporate communications, digital marketing, branding, and public relations, Eniolorunda has built a reputation as a brand strategist who understands the science of marketing and the art of storytelling and audience engagement. In this interview, she shares her journey, insights, and the strategies that have shaped her career.
For Eniolorunda, the path to marketing was never accidental, it was a calling.
“As a child, I was always vocal and creative. I helped my mother craft marketing strategies for her business, and I loved watching how different approaches influenced customer interest,” she recalls. “Thankfully, my parents nurtured my passion for public speaking and communications. They ensured I pursued a career in a field that truly aligned with my strengths.”
That foundation led her to Joseph Ayo Babalola University in Osun State, Nigeria, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. It was there that her interest in writing, digital media, and storytelling truly took shape.
Beyond academics, she immersed herself in hands-on experiences, writing for the university’s annual magazine, contributing to The Pen Writing Society as Vice President, and even taking on the role of an on-air personality at the campus radio station. These early experiences, she notes, played a crucial role in developing her ability to craft compelling narratives, build communities, and execute strategic marketing campaigns.
So, why did she choose tech marketing? According to Eniolorunda, it was the perfect convergence of her skills and industry demand.
“I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, brand positioning, and community engagement. But what excites me about tech marketing is the challenge, many tech companies struggle with effectively communicating their value proposition.
They focus on features, but customers care about the impact. That’s where I come in, helping brands simplify complex concepts, create relatable messaging, and drive meaningful engagement.”
Her expertise extends beyond traditional marketing. She has spearheaded results-driven growth strategies that have helped companies across multiple industries refine their messaging, increase engagement, and hit revenue goals.
One of the most common struggles among professionals is finding their niche. For Eniolorunda, it was a blend of self-awareness, passion, and hands-on experience.
“I’ve always been intentional about exploring different aspects of marketing like content writing, community management, product positioning, and public relations until I found where I truly thrive,” she explains. “For anyone trying to find their space in tech, my advice is simple: Identify what excites you, gain practical experience, leverage your strengths, and stay adaptable. The industry is evolving, and so should you.”
Her work across brand strategy, product positioning, and community engagement has proven that these elements are not separate functions but interconnected pillars of a strong brand. “A brand is not just about logos or ads; it’s about perception, consistency, and connection. When a brand gets these right, it doesn’t just attract customers, it earns loyalty.”
While many marketers and strategists focus solely on company branding, Eniolorunda is a strong advocate for personal branding, a strategy that has not only elevated her own career but has also helped her create an impact within the industry.
“We are in a phase where people trust people more than they trust companies. Your personal brand is your proof of work, itshowcases your expertise, builds credibility, and opens doors,” she explains.
And those doors? They’ve led to bigger opportunities, recognition, networking, and career advancement. “I’ve had the chance to work with amazing brands, contribute to industry conversations, and mentor other professionals. Personal branding is not just about visibility; it’s about positioning yourself as a valuable voice in your field.”
“Many people start strong but struggle with maintaining their brand presence,” Eniolorunda says. “The key is authenticity and strategy. Define your core themes, engage with industry conversations, and find ways to repurpose your content across different platforms.”
When asked what she wishes she had known earlier in her journey, her response is immediate:
“That visibility is not vanity. Many professionals shy away from personal branding because they don’t want to seem self-promotional. But branding isn’t about ego, it’s about impact. Your voice, insights, and experiences can educate, inspire, and create opportunities for others.”
And for young professionals looking up to her?
“Consistency and value are your greatest assets. Keep showing up. Focus on solving problems, creating impact, and continuously evolving. The industry will change, but if you build your brand on a foundation of expertise and authenticity, you’ll always stay relevant.”
In an industry where differentiation is key, her approach to tech marketing, storytelling, and audience engagement serves as a blueprint for professionals looking to carve out their own space.
As the tech industry evolves, one thing is clear, her influence is only just beginning.
