IN parts of Jos, the Plateau State capital on Saturday, it was still celebration galore as residents took to the streets to celebrate the return of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
New posters of the president adorned places like Bauchi road and Nasarawa, Angwan Rogo, while special song composed by some local musicians to celebrate his return rented the air.
Free food and drinks were available in various areas, and Buhari supporters drove motorcycles and cars recklessly in demonstration of their support.
One of the organisers of the roadshow, Ahmad Sani said the show was to thank God for bringing the president back and for answering Nigerians’ prayers.
Meanwhile, former Minister of State for Information and Communication, Honourable Nakande Dasuki, has stated that the return of President Muhammadu Buhari was a great relief for Nigerians.
The former minister, in an interview with Sunday Tribune, said while the president was away, there were insinuations about his state of health, thus causing tension, adding that some of the concerns expressed were borne out of love for the country and for the president.
He said: “For me and many other Nigerians, it was a relief for the country especially because of the cynical comments on social media. Some claimed that all pictures of those who visited him were manipulated; some claimed he was dead but his return has dispelled these insinuations”.
