Buhari to commission 80 hospitals in Jigawa

THE Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar said as parts of the President Muhammadu Buhari state’s visit to Jigawa state, the president is expected to commission 80 health centres, five township roads, 200 kilometres regional roads.

This was disclosed by governor Muhammad Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state yesterday while speaking to newsmen on the preparation for the presidential visit to the state, said “We are expecting Mr. president on 7th of this month and he will help us commissions some projects which include 80 health centers, five township roads, five regional roads covering 200 kilometers and other development projects executed”.

Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar explained that the health centres are parts of President Buhari’s campaign promised of providing primary health care clinic in each of the political wards across the country, “here in Jigawa we embarked on the projects and a reasonable percentage had been completed waiting for commissioning”.

According to him, Jigawa has 287 political wards and so far 80 clinics completed and the remaining are at different level of constructions by the state government.

He said the president will also commission five newly constructed roads of over 200 kilometres in additions to five township roads.

Governor Badaru maintained that, as part of the APC administration effort to ensure the social welfare of Nigerians, during the visiting president Buhari will also lunch Jigawa state social intervention programme to ease aimed at supporting youth to remain self-reliance.

He said the president will also commission solar water projects across the state including Dutse solar water powered projects that will provide not less than one million litres of water across Dutse metropolis.

Governor Badaru then urged the people in the state to corporate and shows a maturity while receiving the president for his two days visit to the state.
