Buhari/Osinbajo needed in Nigeria this critical time ― Support group

THE Ekiti State chapter of Buhari Solidarity Group (BSG) has described the Buhari/Osinbajo ticket for the presidential election as “a blessing for Nigeria”, saying they were needed “in this critical time in Nigerian politics.

The group said in a statement on Sunday, in Ado Ekiti, that President Muhammadu Buhari and his running mate, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, were working for a better Nigerian society, and therefore contended that they deserved the support of all Nigerians.

In the statement signed by Sunday Awoyomi, Patron, Buhari Solidarity Group, Ekiti State Chapter, and made available to newsmen, the group maintained that Buhari and Osinbajo believed “in the oneness and sustainability of Nigeria as one nation for rapid development across all the geopolitical zones in the country.”

The BSG said “the continuity of Buhari/Osinbajo in 2019 is for the betterment and progress of this nation, despite the little resources available to the country. We, therefore, call on Nigerians to cast their votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo.”

According to the group, “they are men of integrity, honesty and the fear of God, they are the men Nigeria needs at this particular time to govern the nation.”

The group said the achievements of President Buhari’s Government across the various states in the country were “very obvious and laudable and Nigerians have significantly felt the impact of some infrastructure development like roads’ construction, standard railways, upgrading our international airports/ terminals and standard housing estates across many states.”

The group also lauded Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on his administration so far, saying “Dr Fayemi has started on a very good note driven by his passion for good governance by reversing all obnoxious taxes placed on pupils of nursery primary schools by the past government.”
