Buhari off to London for 10-day holiday

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is to begin a 10 working days holiday from Friday.

In his absence, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is to act as president even though President Buhari will be on a “working holiday.”

According to a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President, Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Wednesday, the president has already communicated with the National Assembly.

The statement said: “In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter has been transmitted to the President of the Senate, and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.

“While the President is on vacation, the Vice President will be in the acting capacity as President.

“President Buhari will be in London for the holiday.”
