President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Ebonyi state-born Engineer Elias Mbam as the Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
In a letter to the Senate, he also nominated 29 persons as commissioners in the commission.
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), in Abuja on Friday said the president made the nomination in accordance with the provision of Section 154(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
It said the names were conveyed in a letter signed by the President to the Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, asking for expeditious consideration and confirmation of the appointments.
