President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with governors elected under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
The meeting which took place at the First Lady Wing of the presidential villa, Abuja started at 9. 10pm.
It was not clear what the agenda of the meeting was but it may not have been unconnected with the national convention of the the party which comes up this month.
Also at meeting was Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.
Among the governors were Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Aminu Masari (Katsina), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Jubril Bindow (Adamawa), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), and Simon Lalong (Plateau).
Others were Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Samuel Ortom (Benue), and Idiat Adebule (Deputy governor, Lagos).
