Buhari, Bakare meet in Aso Rock

Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly and former vice presidential candidate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Monday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The meeting took place at about 3 pm and lasted for about 30 minutes.

Bakare declined to speak on the purpose of his visit to the president when he was approached by State House correspondents.

The cleric was the running mate to Buhari when he contested the presidential election under the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011.

However, his recent public comments seemed to have expressed his disagreement with the governance style of the Buhari administration.
