BSN set to host trauma healing professionals, stakeholders

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has concluded plans to host the Trauma Healing International Community of Practice Conference in Lagos from February 19-20, 2025.

The conference themed, “Healing Trauma in a World of Uncertainty: Navigating Global Crises and Building Resilience,” will hold at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos with 15 Bible Societies across Africa and representatives of the American Bible Society in attendance.

This timely event will bring together trauma healing practitioners, mental health professionals, religious leaders, and community workers from across Nigeria and beyond. Participants will explore the diverse impact of trauma in the context of ongoing global crises, including conflicts, natural disasters, economic instability, and insurgency.

The two-day conference will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focusing on various aspects of trauma healing. It will provide a platform for sharing best practices, innovative approaches, and resources for addressing trauma and fostering resilience at individual and community levels.

There will also be sharing of reports and success stories on trauma healing from other Bible Societies and organisations in Nigeria involved in trauma healing.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a nonprofit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into Nigerian languages, publishes, and distributes the Holy Scriptures, as well as raises funds for the Bible work and executes programmes that help people to engage with the Word of God to transform their lives.
