British government deports 23 Nigerians

Another set of 23 Nigerians were on Friday morning deported back to Nigeria by the British government.

The deportees, who were all males, were flown into the country as early as 6am through the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, aboard a chartered aircraft.

The deportees were sent packing by their host country for offenses ranging from expired  travel documents to possession of fake documents and other immigration related offenses.

The deportees were received by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) , the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Police.

Also on ground to receive them were officials of  the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The deportees were profiled by immigration authorities before they were set free to rejoin their family members across the country.
