ALL Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Lagos East Senatorial District, Hon. Bayo Osinowo said the passion to bring more federal presence and dividends of democracy to the masses informed his aspiration.
The APC senatorial candidate popularly addressed as “Pepperito,” said this on Wednesday at Town Hall meeting, which was organised by Team Pepper Mobilisation Committee for Kosofe stakeholders, with party leaders and members, some traditional rulers and religious leaders, artisans, youths groups, market men and women, among others in attendance.
Speaking at the event tagged: “Pepperito Meets Kosofe Stakeholders,” the 4th- term lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, said his interest was to help the humanity more at the Senate, assuring the people of his resolve not to disappoint them if voted into office.
“My interest is to help humanity more at the Senate and I want to assure everyone of dividends of democracy. I will not disappoint your trust in me,” Osinowo vowed.
The APC senatorial candidate said the Town Hall Meeting with critical stakeholders in Kosofe and environs was put together to enable him to feel the pulse of the people ahead of the February 16, 2019, Presidential and National Assembly elections, adding that the meeting had become very imperative in order to know where shoes pinch the people of the area.

He assured that the needs of his people would be pursued with all vigour if he emerged the winner of the poll to represent the Lagos East at the Senate.
According to Osinowo, the Town Hall meeting is to feel the pulse and the needs of the people of the district again before proceeding to represent them at the Senate, saying such meeting would be replicated in Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Somolu and Epe.
Osinowo, while the Town Hall meeting would be replicated in Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Somolu and Epe area of the state, commended the National Leader of APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his role and other progressive leaders, saying that Lagos and the entire Yoruba states had been known for progressivism since days of late MKO Abiola.
“APC has been moved from mud, it is now rebrand. We appeal to all CDAs CDCs, students, youths, market men and women to keep supporting the progressives.
“Without you, we are nothing and cannot achieve anything. Please open your eye when casting your votes and when votes are being counted,” he said.
He, therefore, urged the people to vote rightly to reduce the number of void votes during the elections.
Also speaking, Hon. Tunde Braimoh, a member representing Kosofe Constituency II in Lagos Assembly, reminded that the ruling APC had done a lot for the people, promising that many more dividends of democracy were still in the pipeline.
“We have a lot to do, give the progressives led by President Muhammadu Buhari time to accomplish all he has in mind. We have seen a lot of development under this government,” Braimoh said, just as he commended the Federal Government for infrastructural development and empowerment programmes for the youth across the country.
The lawmaker urged the people to vote en mass for the APC to ensure continuity of developmental stride of the party- led government across all levels.
On his part, the Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, who is also the Chairman, Tactical Committee of Hon. Bayo Osinowo Campaign Organisation said that the candidate had helped a lot of people at the state level, assuring that his aspiration for Senate would bring a lot of fortune to the people.
Earlier, Osinowo and other APC candidates paid courtesy to the palace of the Oloworo of Oworo, Oba Saliu Oloruntoyin, for royal supports and blessings.
