Bring Natasha back urgently, Dele Momodu tells Senate

Published by

Veteran journalist and publisher, Dele Momodu, has called on the Nigerian Senate to urgently reinstate Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, expressing strong support for her and commending her achievements in office.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Momodu emphasised the need to move past the recent controversy surrounding the senator and redirect focus to the country’s legislative priorities.

“I was one of those who went all out to support Senator Natasha and I’m very proud of her.

I’m proud of what she has been able to achieve,” Momodu stated.

“But after all the hullabaloo, I think the time has come for the Senate to settle down to serious business.

They should do everything possible to bring her back urgently, and I hope there will be concessions on both sides,” he added.

Senator Natasha, who represents Kogi Central, has been at the center of a political dispute that resulted in her suspension from the Senate.

Her absence has sparked widespread public debate, with many Nigerians calling for her immediate return so she can continue representing her constituents.

Momodu, a long-time political analyst and commentator, underscored the importance of dialogue and reconciliation in resolving the issue.

“I pray that both sides will listen, but they need to bring her back urgently,” he stressed.

His remarks add to the mounting public pressure on the Senate to resolve the impasse and reinstate the senator.

Political observers argue that doing so would not only uphold democratic principles but also ensure that the people of Kogi Central are adequately represented.

As the Senate reconvenes, public attention remains fixed on its leadership to see how it responds to the calls from prominent voices like Dele Momodu.
