BREAKING: Senate rejects Magu as EFCC chairman, asks Buhari for replacement

The Senate has rejected the presidential nomination of Ibrahim Magu’s as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC).

Speaking on the development after a closed-door session on Thursday, the Chairman, Senate spokesman, Senator Aliu Sabi, said the Senate would no longer continue with the screening and confirmation of Magu in view of the security report against him.

He said the list where he was nominated to the anti-graft job has been sent back to President Muhammadu Buhari to make a replacement.
