BREAKING: Obasa returns as Lagos Speaker

Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda on Monday during the session.

Noheem Adams nominated Ajayi Obasa to fill the vacant position, and Akinsanya Nureni seconded the motion.

Nigerian Tribune reports that Meranda has returned to the role of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly on the same day.
