Fire on Tuesday afternoon ravaged the Iduganran, Lagos Island palace of Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
The fire was said to have started from one of the air conditions in one of the apartments in the palace around 3:30 p.m.
However, efforts made by hoodlums to use the precarious situation to gain access into the palace, prompted the palace security to lock the gate the palace.
Fire officers were seen at the palace supported by police officers putting the situation under control.
