BREAKING: Herdsmen attack catholic church, kill 2 Rev fathers,17 faithful

IT was a black morning at Ayar Mbalom in Gwer East local government area of Benue state when Armed Fulani herdsmen, around 6 am today attacked Catholic faithful who had gone for morning mass and killed two priests and 17 other members.

The incident happened at St. Ignatius Quasi Parish Ukpor-Mbalom in Ayar-Mbalom community of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.

Our Correspondent gathered that the attackers also burnt down over 100 houses during the attack and sacked the entire community.

The acting governor, Benson Abound had last week raised the alarm of planned attacks on five communities in the state calling on the federal government to deploy more security men to the state.
