BREAKING: Gov Ortom wins as Supreme Court dismisses Jime’s appeal

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has just affirmed the election of Samuel Ortom as the Governor of Benue State.

The apex court, in a unanimous judgment held that the concurrent decisions of the Benue State Governorship Election Petition and the Court of Appeal, “Ought not to be disturbed.”

In the judgment, the court dismissed the appeal brought before it by Emmanuel Jime, wherein he wanted the court to sack Ortom as Benue State Governor.
