The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has been removed by the Kano State government.
The Kano State executive council under the chairmanship of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje unanimously approved the immediate removal and dethronement of Emir Sanusi over “total disrespect to lawful instructions from the office of the state governor and other lawful authorities.”
