BREAKING: DSS arrests Sowore, #RevolutionNow convener

Operatives of the Directorate of State Security (DSS) have arrested Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore had posted a distress tweet via his Twitter handle at 1:25 am, after which someone claiming to be an eyewitness confirmed that his phone was forcefully taken from him.

The convener of #RevolutionNow campaign, Sowore, was said to have been picked up at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday.

Sowore had launched a #RevolutionNow campaign on Twitter with series of tweets mobilising Nigerians for a protest march against bad governance in Nigeria, which is to commence on Monday, August 5, 2019.
