THERE was a mild drama as members of Oyo State Inland Revenue Board stormed Dugbe, Ibadan, outlet of Shorite to lock the shopping mall over tax evasion.
For almost three hours, the state government revenue staff were engaged by officials of Shoprite before the final decision to lock up the entrance to the store.
All plea by the Shoprite Back Admin Manager, Olugbenga Adebayo, yielded no influence to the determined officers of the Oyo state internal board of revenue who were not convinced on his explanation.
They eventually shut the Shoprite outlet when its management could not provide evidence of payment.
