BREAKING: Court finds Olisa Metuh, firm guilty of first count in N400m fraud trial

Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, guilty on count one of the seven-count charge slammed against him by the Federal Government.

The judge, in the judgment on Tuesday, agreed with prosecution counsel, Sylvanus Tahir that Metuh knew that the N400 million paid into the account of Destra Investment Limited, a company belonging to him, was a proceed of unlawful activities of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

According to the judge, “The prosecution have successfully proved that the N400 million received by the first defendant (Metuh) from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was a proceed of unlawful act.

“The first defendant is found guilty in respect of count one and accordingly convicted, I so hold”, justice Abang said.
