Building collapse at Ilufe road, Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos State on Monday

Situation report regarding a building collapse at Ilufe road Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos State.

On arrival at the incident scene, a 3 storey building consisting of 8 blocks of flats collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday.

Investigation conducted at the incident scene revealed that the building had showed some signs of being distressed.

No lives lost nor injuries sustained. Recovery operation is ongoing by LASEMA, LABCA and other stakeholders to prevent any secondary incident of full or total collapse that may lead to loss of lives.
