BREAKING: Appeal Court upholds Tambuwal election, dismisses APC petitions

The Court of Appeals, Sokoto division has on Friday morning dismissed the appeal filed by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto against Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

In a lead judgement delivered by the lead judge, Justice Husaini Mukhtar, who read the judgement on behalf of three others upholds the judgement of the Electoral petitions tribunal in affirming the election of the incumbent.

He dismissed the six-count appeal filed by the candidate of the as well as the cross-appeal filed by the APC.
