The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won in all 16 local government areas of Kwara State, in the governorship election results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The APC candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, was declared the winner of the Saturday election by INEC, having polled 331,546 votes, effectively scoring more than twice the votes of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate who polled 114,754 votes after all 16 local government were collated by INEC.
The Kwara’s result pattern was like a replica of what was witnessed in Ekiti State in 2014, when Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of the state defeated APC’s Kayode Fayemi in all 16 local governments in the state.
