The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has urged the graduating cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) to rise to the high expectations of the Armed Forces by preparing to tackle the Nation’s contemporary security challenges.
This was contained in a statement made available to Defence Correspondents in Abuja on Thursday by Deputy Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Group Captain Kabiru Ali.
According to the statement, the Air Chief made the change while speaking at this year’s Beating of the Retreat and Prize-Giving Ceremony at the NDA Parade Ground in Afaka, Kaduna.

According to it, the Chief reminded cadets from the 71 Regular Course and Direct Short Service Courses 28 (Army) and 32 (Air Force) that significant resources had been invested in their training and character development.
He urged them to always prioritize the nation’s defense and give their best to safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protect its citizens.
It added that Air Marshal Abubakar also inspected ongoing infrastructure projects at the Nigerian Air Force Base Kaduna, providing strategic guidance to ensure quality and timely delivery, and as well visited the newly upgraded facilities at the NDA Air Force Wing, during which he commended the enhancements designed to support the training of future officers.
