Fast-rising Juju gospel musician, Adeyinka Adeboye, popularly known as Boyebest’s journey from a church band to a renowned music educationist is truly inspiring.
His dedication and talent have propelled him beyond the church walls, making him a respected figure in the industry. It is no doubt remarkable how he is not only excelling as a musician but also sharing his expertise as a consultant to schools. His story is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance in pursuing one’s dreams.
Having discovered his passion for music at a tender age and started music at age 18, Boyebest set up his band at 19 in the church and has carved a niche for himself beyond the church.
He is making waves and has ambitious plans for the future establishing a music studio and radio station from his hometown in Abeokuta is a fantastic idea to connect with his fan base globally. With determination and passion, he’s sure to make his dreams a reality.
Speaking on his sojourn into music, Boyebest said: “I was privileged to start at the early age of 18, beginning from the choir of the African Church, Ita Olori, Abeokuta which later became African Church Cathedral, Ita Iyalode, Abeokuta.
“I already gathered my band men at the age of 19, because I happened to be one of the vocalists in that church then and I also know how to play the bass guitar a little bit,” he added.
The young musician, who is aiming high as well as working hard to become a sought-after in the industry, noted that his role models are the late Olubukola Olomola, popularly known as Baba Ara, King Sunny Ade, and Sunny Melody UK, also known as Wonderboy Solek UK.
Boyebest, who is the last child from a polygamous home and eight children, said his late father was both a teacher and a reverend, while his late mother was an auxiliary nurse.
He had his primary education at a village called Olodo, under Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State and his secondary education at Unity High School, Ago Ika, Abeokuta, also in the state.
Boyebest later proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, where he said he had his OND in Banking and Finance, and then later proceeded to the University of Ibadan, for his B.sc in Music.
