Boy, 24, commits suicide after taking marijuana in Enugu community

A 24 year old boy whose name was given as Ebube chukwu from Ameke Enu Oduma in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State has committed suicide after allegedly taking a substance suspected to be marijuana.

It was gathered that the victim had allegedly committed the act by hanging himself on top of a tree at Obokolo forest which is between Amorji and Ameke Oduma Boundary all in Aninri Local Government Area of  the state.

Confirming the story on Friday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, said reports had that the victim was always in the habit of smoking marijuana which might have caused the unfortunate incident.

Amaraizu further said investigation had commenced with a view to ascertaining the actual cause of the incident.
